Born in 1931, London-born illustrator and designer Eric Kincaid honed his skills at Gravesend School of Art, where he worked alongside notable contemporaries like Peter Blake and Quentin Crisp. After two years of national service and a stint in advertising, Kincaid found his true calling as a comic strip artist. In 1971, he was presented with the opportunity to illustrate children's books, ultimately collaborating with publishing company Brimax Books on over 100 titles over the course of 30 years. These included beloved classics such as Wind in the Willows, Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland, and were translated into 14 languages with a total of 8 million copies sold worldwide. Kincaid also gained international recognition through book signings and appearances at industry events such as the Frankfurt Book Fair.
