Metals in Aquatic Systems: A Review of Exposure, Bioaccumulation, and Toxicity Models

Combining critical evaluations with a literature review, this work identifies and critiques fate and transport models for evaluation of exposure levels of metals in surface waters and sediments, examines strengths and weaknesses of bioaccumulation and toxicity models with respect to metals and metal compounds, and looks at chemical equilibrium models and their capabilities.
